About Ann Dorn.
Ann is a retired Sergeant with a major Metropolitan Police Department and a Police Widow (Survivor). Her husband David, who was a retired Police Captain with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and a retired Chief of Moline Acres Police Department, was murdered June 2, 2020, during the riots in St. Louis, MO.
Ann is an avid supporter of Law Enforcement and remains active in teaching Field Training Officers and Officer Wellness with IPTM.
Ann has 28 years of law enforcement experience as a Police Officer, Detective and Sergeant. Her assignments include Street Patrol, Juvenile Division, Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit, Crime Suppression Unit, Academy Supervisor, Coordinator and Instructor, Field Training Manager, Administrative Aide, Homeless Outreach Supervisor and Officer Wellness and Crisis Intervention.
During her service she received 3 Awards of Excellence and 2 Chiefs Letters of Commendation.
Ann was a member of the Major Case Squad and she regularly worked with the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children.
Ann remains an advocate for Officer Wellness, First Responder Survivors and their Families.
In addition to all this Ann now hosts a radio talk show on Real Talk Radio 93.3FM “Hidden Heroes with Ann Dorn” focusing the family's behind our First Responders.
